From 19 till 21 May, the 11th edition of The Great Escape Festival will take place in Brighton. TGE is the biggest showcase festival in the United Kingdom. In the course of three days, several hundreds of bands will be playing in the numerous clubs and venues of Brighton.
This year, four Belgian bands will be performing at The Great Escape: Few Bits, Go March, It It Anita en The K. Each band will be on stage twice, playing a short set of approximately half an hour. They will be supported promotionally by a Belgium Booms campaign, an initiative of Flanders Arts Institute and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, with the support of Sabam for Culture.
In addition to the numerous concerts, also the conference part of the festival is a real magnet for lots of music professionals. Several network initiatives, debates and panels will be organised, discussing the current and future state of the music industry.
