Biggest Belgian delegation ever heading for Jazzahead 2016

From 21 till 24 April, Flanders Arts Institute will be coordinating the Belgian participation at Jazzahead, the leading international trade fair and showcase festival for jazz, taking place annually in Bremen, Germany.The programme of Jazzahead consists of concerts, showcases, talks,
network meetings, awards and a professional trade fair. Every year,
Bremen welcomes more than 2800 jazz professionals from 48 countries.
Also for the wider public, Jazzahead has a lot to offer, with more than
80 concerts and cultural events on several stages throughout the city.
As during previous editions, Flanders Arts Institute and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques (WBM) will be hosting the Belgian umbrella stand (nr. 6D02), where jazz delegates will be able to network and present themselves to an international professional audience.
2 Belgian showcases
Furthermore, 2 Belgian jazz groups were selected by an international jury to perform during the showcase programme of the trade fair. On Saturday 23 April, LABtrio as well as Dans Dans will appear on stage at the 'European Jazz Meeting'. Flanders Arts Institute supports these showcases promotionally.
On Friday 22 April at 17h p.m., Flanders Arts Institute and Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques will host a network event, offered by JAZZ.Brussels and supported by Brussels Invest & Export and Artisan Brewery 'En Stoemelings'.
