On the occasion of Womex 2013 we are happy to present a new publication on Flanders music, festivals, venues, agencies, organisations, media..
This guide is an initiative of Flanders Music Centre, in cooperation with Muziekmozaïek Folk & Jazz. It is supported by MINSTREL, a European project promoting transnational exchange and dissemination of music resources at a European level. One of its actions, the collection and dissemination of the local music industry and management information, aims to develop a list of all local music events organizers, promoters and producers. This list will be hosted on a digital database, which will make it available to ensembles and musicians in Belgium and several other countries, in order to promote mobility and cultural exchange. Furthermore, with this publication, we wish to map the very broad folk and world music sector in Flanders as thoroughly as possible,and to promote it both nationally and internationally.
