"Belgium's Sylvester Anfang II are ace at creating an atmosphere. Their distended psychedelic jams drip with tropical moisture. They have two guitarists that duck in and out of each other, a bongo-obsessed jungle drummer, some steam-powered organ licks and nicely rounded, waddly basslines. The second jam on this set of five - the highlights of an all-day studio session, recorded for the Peel-styled Latitudes series - is particularly choice (...). Sylvester Anfang II create the perfect space for an electrifying event that never happens - the colouring-in is left to the listener."
