Requiem
Missa mi-mi
The big daddy of all Requiems already encompasses the full range of the genre's expressive possibilities, from the stark simplicity of the opening movements to the Offertory, one of Ockeghem's more complex creations. It's an old piece in some ways (and almost certainly incomplete as it comes down to us), but as the earliest of a particularly long-lived genre it boasts a healthy discography. The Hilliard Ensemble are on great form here.
