Na Graindelavoix sleepten ook het Vlaams Radio Koor en -Orkest vrij onverwacht een contract in de wacht bij het prestigieuze Spaanse label Glossa. Onder leiding van kersvers artistiek directeur Bo Holten waagt het koor zich aan een van de toetsstenen van de vocale barokmuziek, Bachs motetten. Een keuze getuigt van lef, of, in het slechtste geval, van overmoed. ... De intonatie is ook niet altijd even perfect. Wat tekstplaatsing en uitspraak betreft, scoort het koor wel. De algemene indruk is dat het koor met deze Bach-cd te hoog gemikt heeft; ondanks de hoorbaar grote inzet kan het resultaat de vergelijking met echte Bach-specialisten als het Rias Kammerchor, Monteverdi Choir of Collegium Vocale niet doorstaan.

At the end of 2007 it was publicised that Bo Holten, from the coming season, starts as chief conductor for The Flemish Radio Choir, on a contract running for the next three years.
The new musical team is already now CD-ready with J.S.Bach’s Motets. The succesful recording-process took place last summer and if it was this that did the trick, that Holten was offered the post is unknown, but one thing is sure: this promises really well for the collaboration in the future.
Both choir and Holten seem exceedingly inspired and it is a pleasure to listen to their marvellously homogeneous and colourful sound. ... For 70 minutes you can enjoy The Flemish Radio Choir’s and Holten’s great artistic excellence, and their obvious joy in musicmaking which almost beams out of the loudspeakers.

Comme le rappellent ces trois enregistrements, les motets de Bach posent encore des questions aux interprètes. [] Aérienne, souvent contemplative, celle de Bo Holten véhicule "le sentiment religieux à travers une sorte d'extase" que mentionne le chef dans son commentaire d'introduction.
