These are chamber works of the highest order and make considerable demands on ensemble players, music which appears made to measure for the Kuijken ensemble, which performs together so naturally. The result is undoubtedly impressive; the sound is bright and has great warmth, and the phrases and dialogues established between parts are simply fantastic.
